Research

The research activities of CCDS are broadly into three steams and sub-domains within each are described below,

High performance computing (CD-HPC):

High performance computer architecture, parallel compilers, scientific data compression, software for HPC systems, etc

Computational science and engineering (CD-SE):

Atmospheric modeling, bioinformatics and computational biology, computational chemistry, computational fluid dynamics, computational mechanics, computational physics, drug design, geo-scientific computations, multi-scale modeling of novel materials, numerical mathematics, etc.

Security of Machine Learning in HPC:

We aim to address the vulnerabilities present in Machine Learning systems operating within High-Performance Computing environments, specifically targeting critical threats such as adversarial attacks, data poisoning, model stealing, and privacy breaches. Our goal is to develop and implement robust defense mechanisms that significantly enhance the reliability and privacy protection of these ML applications, ensuring their trustworthiness in critical and sensitive settings.
